About eventsManifesto Club events are an opportunity for members to get together, have a drink, swap ideas, argue and debate. SALONS – These are small gatherings where individuals with a particular area of interest can come together over a glass of wine to work through ideas. Most salons begin with a short introduction by an invited speaker, before moving on to informal discussion and debate. CLUB NIGHTS – Club Nights are regular get-togethers for Manifesto Club members and their guests. The evenings have a short formal part – a debate, film showing or poetry reading. The remainder of the evening is a chance to have a drink, and to meet with other Manifesto Club members. Club nights are free for members; non-members will be charged a small entrance fee. DINNERS – Thoughtful and provocative speakers give a pre-dinner talk, followed by a discussion; and everyone is invited to come along, enjoy good food, good wine and good company. Manifesto Club members can attend dinners at a discounted rate. |

Have courage to use your own understanding!' Immanuel Kant 'What characterises man is his extreme abundance of imagination; therefore, that man is a fantastic animal and that universal history is the gigantic, continuous and insistent effort to go, little by little, putting some order into the crazy fantasy.'
